Interventions with Uncommon Sense

I had a co-worker many years ago that liked to say, “Common sense isn’t going to solve this problem.” Of course what he meant was we needed to let go of some of our sacred cows in order to find a solution. He was right. Your Common Sense is rooted in your beliefs, and the people around you will often adjust their belief system to align with yours. That’s why it is hard for some teams to embrace big change – even when it is mission-critical.

When business owners call me with challenge, I already know that they have applied all their common sense to the problem. What they need is UnCommon Sense – which often looks like a counter-intuitive approach, but it’s really just a solution based on a different set of assumptions.

When all your the common sense at your disposal has run its course, call me. I can inject clarity, insight, and speed into your decision-making process. And I will bring a set of Best Practices that might be a bit different from yours, but that’s where UnCommon Sense comes from.
